Is Leadership All About Coaching?
How many times have you heard that leadership is all about coaching? Experts all agree that the best leaders know how to coach.
In the recently published book, Coaching Perspectives VII, Certified Professional and Certified Master Coaches join forces to share great insights, ideas, and tips for coaches, those interested in coaching programs and for people who want to create meaningful change. This is a book for coaches about coaching as a profession and within organizations. Karen's perspective is a bit different because she is different from most coaches. She is all about leadership.
Karen Mildenhall's chapter titled Leadership and Coaching: Where High-Performance Converges, illustrates how the most skilled leaders and coaches share common, principles and behaviors. She also illustrates how high-performing leaders and coaches diverge in behavior. Not every leadership situation calls for coaching.
